Organizations to donate getaway to support fundraising efforts
September 11, 2024—Golfpac Travel/Hidden Links is pleased to announce its support of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) through the donation of an amazing getaway to Magic Village Resort in Orlando Florida.
“The AJGA is a vital organization to the development of young men and women in the sport of golf,” said Marc Bender, Managing Partner of Golfpac Travel and Hidden Links. “The organization’s alumni is proof of the impact they have on competitive junior golfers across the nation and the ability for them to obtain an education.”
Founded in 1978, the AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. With an impressive group of alumni including Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Nelly Korda, Scottie Scheffler, Rose Zhang, and more, the organization currently has 9,000 junior members.
“We have followed Marc and Adam’s extensive and generous commitment to supporting junior golf initiatives throughout the past several years. We greatly appreciate them including the AJGA in their efforts. Golfpac Travel and Hidden Links are both industry leaders, having them support our Foundation is awesome and we hope this is the start of a long-term partnership working together,” said Jason Etzen, Chief Business Officer AJGA.
Year after year, the AJGA assists thousands of youths across the country in reaching their educational goals and beyond. There were 950 college commitments from the class of 2023. And, annually there are more than 100 careers jump started in golf and sports industries through AJGA internships.
Adam Wachter, Managing Partner of Golfpac Travel and Hidden Links said, “Part of our mission as a family of golf companies is to spread the love of the sport. There isn’t a more important group to grow that value in than our youth. The fact that AJGA not only aligns with that part of our mission, but the important educational aspect that AJGA provides makes this collaboration a hole-in-one.”
The donated getaway includes a three night stay at Magic Village Resort in a 4-bedroom townhome. Framed by contemporary architecture, lushly landscaped gardens and lawns, Magic Village Resort is a concierge-style community with upscale villas, exclusive services, and unrivaled privacy and comfort that turns dream vacations into reality. The team at Magic Village Resort makes sure that “Life is Beautiful” at every moment of the guest’s stay.
Bender and Wachter jointly said, “Our support of young golfers is unwavering, and we could not be more proud to provide a getaway to Magic Village Resort—one of the most popular and beloved options in our portfolio of lodging partners.”
