February 24, 2025 — Upper Deck Golf and PXG just launched a special hole-in-one challenge last week at the season opening event at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros. Sure enough, a participant named Tanner Galatian hit a perfect shot from 97-yards right into the hole to win an incredible prize package that includes a full custom PXG fitting and a 14-club bag of custom PXG clubs.
Galatian, 33 and a 12-handicap from Houston, said, “My first shot I hit a 52° wedge and it went long. Then, for my next shot, I changed to a 56° wedge and hit it slightly long, but was able to spin it back, and it went in the hole! When I saw it go in, the spectators and my buddy behind me started cheering that I made a hole-in-one, which is the first I’ve ever made. Currently, I use another manufacturer’s equipment and I am looking forward to stepping my game up with some new PXG clubs. I had a blast at Upper Deck Golf today!”
Upper Deck Golf Managing Partner Marc Bender said, “this hole-in-one challenge was months of planning with our new partner PXG and we had no idea how long it would take to see a hole-in-one winner. To have it happen on the second day after launching is both surreal and fantastic and we could not be more excited for Tanner. This is a very generous and valuable prize donated from PXG and we are most appreciative for the partnership.”
Upper Deck Golf fellow Managing Partner Adam Wachter added, “I was at the event with my twin 12-year old boys who are passionate golfers. We participated in the PXG hole-in-one challenge and were reminded how hard it is to make a hole-in-one. The fact Tanner stepped up and made one on his second shot is incredible. Congrats to him on a great shot!”
Leela Brennan, VP of Brand Communications & Engagement at PXG, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership with Upper Deck Golf, stating, “We’re thrilled to be part of these special golf events. The unique challenges and stadium settings, combined with PXG’s game-changing golf clubs and balls, truly empower players to experience the game like never before. It was fun witnessing the action firsthand last week at Daikin Park. A huge congratulations to Tanner on his hole-in-one; we eagerly look forward to custom fitting him at PXG Houston and seeing how our clubs can elevate his performance on the course.”
